Gearing up for 2006!
March 20, 2006 . The Gyrl Groove Softball Program is going to the Gay Games VII in Chicago, IL. This year we are attempting to raise $5000 in order for our women to participate in the week-long, international event in Chicago called the Gay Games VII, www.gaygameschicago.org . The Games is a quadrennial event that already has 8,000 participants from more than 30 countries committed to attending.

A Closer Look
Angie Young is the
head coach of Gyrl Groove softball. She began with the team in 2005 as the starting
pitcher. Angie first put on a glove in 1975 in Little Rock, Arkansas. After playing through high school as a short stop, she entered the Army and was the starting pitcher for the All-Army softball team, a class ‘A’ ball team.
